It's raining cats and dogs here. I love the rain.
The BF went out of the country yesterday. His work flew him to a country that is facing a lot of strife and political turmoil. I'm very nervous for him, as his presence requires armed guards and no night travel while there. He's a very cautious man, though, so I think he'll be fine. He's staying at a nice hotel with good security and is taking proper precautions, so there's no need to really worry. He'll be back this Friday.
Watched the first half of Season One's "Flight of the Conchords." I didn't love it when it was on t.v. for some reason, but now I find it really funny.
Got $1 to last me 'til this weekend (when my check comes in). Luckily my tank is half full, so I can at least get around. I borrowed a lot of money from family members last year and have an aggressive repayment schedule to return their loans. It's probably too aggressive, but I'm already half-way to repaying everyone, so that makes it worth it.

:) we've had clear skies over here and i've been glad for it. rain to return later in the week. must remember that rain is good for the earth. i'm sure the bf will do just fine!! stop worrying!
ReplyDeleteGlad you're having nice weather! I love the rain, if only it means I don't have to water (by hand) my humongous lawn! It takes like an hour everyday to do the front and back.
ReplyDeleteYou're right- he'll be fine. I was just being a worry wart! He told me yesterday that he was going out to dinner with some co-workers, so I guess things aren't as bad there as they were made to seem if he deemed it safe to lift his no-traveling-at-night policy.
I hope that you are able to stretch your dollar out to the max. I have been in the scrounging-for-change-to-pay-for-my-Winco-groceries stage more times in my life than I care to count, and it totally blows. Unfortunately, I think this rough economy is forcing most of us to go on financial diets, and from the looks of my bank account, I'm in the financial anorexic league. Hopefully someday SOON this economy-thingy will be a distant, bad memory that we can laugh about over caviar and Dom Perignon.
